A photographer’s local area can contain overlooked photo opportunities. The local area has the advantage of allowing me to return to a site many times, learning what works and what does not work. I can photograph in varying weather conditions and at different times of day and night. As seen here, two local sites, Frying Pan Farm Park in Herndon Virginia and Great Falls National Park, are two of my recurring choices for photography.
